Development

Our top priority is to develop well-engineered products, which resist the strong burdens of our sport and in which every driver can put his full trust. At the same time we always have the weight in mind. To pursue a secure and lightweight design it is extremely important to know all of your products strengths but also its weaknesses. To detect them we use the latest construction and mathematical methods as well as test procedures. We are of the opinion that new and better products can be generated only on the basis of this know-how.
Based on direct burdens, load cases, the information of material, available space etc. we try to simulate reality using a FEM methods. Dependent on the particular power flow and other boundary conditions, the “raw geometry” of the component is calculated. Therefore redundant weight can be specifically reduced.
After that it comes to designing. We transfer the determined raw geometry in three-dimensional construction data.
Based on the construction model we create new FEM-models and calculate physical quantities with different loading cases like distribution of stress, deformation etc. So we can detect the entrapments of the component and check, where material could be cut down safely or if additional material is needed.
In the next step we improve the components with the specific combination of automatic computer optimization and manual construction.

If the virtual product is up to our standards, two-dimensional drawings are generated. Then our fabrication builds first tools and prototypes.
These are tested through complex test stand trials under laboratory conditions, and through us and our team drivers under real conditions. If our prospects are fulfilled the series production can start.

Admittedly, this development process is complicated, extensive and protracted. But only in this way we can be committed to our products and conduct secure and reasonable lightweight designs.
