My first bike was a puky juvenile bicycle but unfortunately it broke after jumping a ramp without landing. Later I found out that is it much smoother to ride dirtjumps with landing and so I got into BMX. Coming from that community I got the chance to work in a bikeshop. After a couple of month repairing bikes I bought my first mountainbike. I am still amazed of the endless opportunities while riding a full suspension bike. In the last couple years cycling has also given me the best friends in the world. Every day having fun building and riding new lines or just to climb up a mountain and shred singletrails with some friends. That´s what it is all about for me.

What's your riding style?
My name’s Carlo Gambirasio, I am 23 years old and I've been an athlete since 9 years of the Italian National Mountain Bike team. I’ve been taking part in the European and World Championships and all World Cup trials for eight years. During my career i have got good results like the 15°overall place in Vigo World cup, the 12° overall place at the world championship in junior categories, and the 2° overall place at the Italian championship of downhill and four cross. I really love any kind of 2 wheels driving sports, for this reason in winter I'm used to train on MX. I prefer a clean and precise riding style.

To me, biking has been a passion for many years now. After starting as a CC-guy I found out that the gravity disciplines are the way to go for me. Especially when I first saw how much fun the BMX-riders on the legendary Jim Knopf Trails (RIP) in my hometown Augsburg had. After a lot of training-sessions on the BMX-Track, and a couple of races too, I was ready for the Dirt Challenge. Back in the days the change to 20 inch was obligatory, as there was not really appropriate material in the MTB-market. You can't beat the fun you have on a fast Downhill, so downhill-riding and racing was on the schedule too. But riding free has always been the most enjoyable thing for me. As anybody knows, an afternoon building and riding with friends at your local spot is unique. I`m looking forward to put my "trail approved" mark on the products. After spending more than 20 years in the saddle you finally know what really makes sense on the trail.
